After we left Guggennheim Museum, we took 20-minute underground journey to Getxo to see Vizcaya Bridge. This is the world oldest bridge of this kind and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This bridge was designed by Alberto de Palacio who was one of the pupils of Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.
さて、グッゲンハイム美術館を後にした我々は地下鉄で20分くらいのところにあるゲチョという街へ。
ここでは、世界最古の運搬橋であり、世界遺産でもあるビスカヤ橋を見学しました。こちらの橋を設計したのは、アルベルト・パラシオ。エッフェル塔を設計したギュスターヴ・エッフェルの弟子だったそうです。
The bridge carries people and vehicles in a hanging gondola.The upper part of the bridge (50m from the ground level) is a walkway for tourists. So we decided to cross this walkway to Portugalete. We bought tickets and a member of staff took us up by a lift.
ぶらーんとぶら下がったゴンドラで人や車を運搬しているのですが、頻繁に行き来しておりました。
市民の足として活躍しているんですねぇ。
地上50メートルの上部構造は観光用の歩道になっています。
せっかくなので、この歩道で反対側のポルトゥガレテまで行くことに。
チケットを買うと、係りの人がエレベーターで上まで連れて行ってくれます。

We took a gondola back to Getxo and had a walk by the beach, then went back to Bilbao.
ゴンドラでゲチョに戻った後は、海沿いを散歩して、再び地下鉄に乗ってビルバオへ。

We went to El Viejo Zortzi for dinner. Inside is divided into a restaurant and a bar and we went to the bar for tapas and wine. Even though we arrived there at early hour (well, 20.30ish), it was packed already. We managed to grab a table and looked at each other; how do we order here? Then a service lady came from the restaurant and took our order. I observed while eating and found that people ordered at the counter. It was kind of her being flexible and making us comfortable!
この日の晩ごはんは、El Viejo Zortzi へ。
中はレストランとバルに分かれているのですが、我々はバルでタパスをつまみつつ飲むことに。
早め（と言っても20時半頃）に行ったにもかかわらず、店内はすでに人でいっぱい。
なんとかテーブルをゲットして、どうやって注文するんだ？と3人で顔を見合わせていたら、レストランのサービスの女性が注文を取りに来てくれました。
食事しながら観察してみたところ、他のお客さんは直接カウンターで注文していた模様。
勝手のわからないところで柔軟に対応してもらえて、気持ちよく過ごすことができました！

You can't go wrong here whatever you order! I was so busy enjoying my food that I forgot to take photos...I especially loved morcilla which was moist and nicely flavoured and the apple on top was a nice touch.
いやー、何頼んでも美味しかったですよ、ここ！
食べるのに夢中で、ほとんど写真を撮れなかったのですが。。。
特にモルシージャは、しっとりとした食感に優しい味わい、上に乗ったリンゴの酸味がアクセントになっていて、お代わりしたいくらい美味しかった～。
