Bulgaria in spring, day 6 Nesebar | ブルガリア 春の旅 6日目 ネセバル

Nesebar is surrounded by an old wall and connected to the mainland by a narrow road (this side is Nesebar).
古い壁に囲まれたネセバルは細い道で陸地と繋がっています（手前がネセバル）。

It's been a while since I last posted about my holiday in Bulgaria. There is a little bit more that I want to share. 

Now, after leaving a dodgy castle, we drove north to our next destination Nesebar. It is so small that you can walk around the town in half an hour. There are quite a few old churches in this old town.

少々間があきましたが、ブルガリア旅行記、もう少し続きます。

胡散臭い城を後にしたわたし達、そのまま北上して次の目的地ネセバルに移動しました。

ネセバルは、30分もあれば、歩いて一周できるくらい小さな街。古い街並みに、これまた古い教会が点在しています。

The oldest church in Nesebar called St. Sofia Church which was built in the late fifth century to the early sixth century. Now it is a ruin but makes a good playground for children.

ネセバル最古の教会、聖ソフィア教会。5世紀後半～6世紀前半に建設されたそう。
残っているのは外壁のみ。廃墟と化していて、子供たちの遊び場になっていました。

Nesebar is placed on a small peninsula sticking out to the Black Sea. The beach above looks like a pebble beach but actually consists of  mussel shells.

黒海に突き出た半島に位置するネセバルは、周囲を海に囲まれています。

上の写真のビーチ、砂利かと思いきやムール貝の殻なのです。

This restaurant was recommended by a receptionist in our hotel. According to her, the best restaurant in town. I loved sardine-like local fish there called blue fish which was very fresh! I noticed most restaurants in Bulgaria had big screen TVs and they were always on. It would always be a cookery channel which would often be a British program. So we had Bulgarian meal every day watching Heston Blumenthal or Jamie Oliver (and admiring what they are cooking).

ホテルのレセプションの女の子が「一番美味しい」と勧めてくれたレストラン。

イワシのような地魚（ブルー・フィッシュ）が美味しかった！

それにしてもブルガリアのレストランは大きなテレビがつけっぱなし、というところが多かったです。

チャンネルは常にお料理番組。しかも、かなりの確率でイギリスの番組。

というわけで、連日、ブルガリア料理を食べつつ、ヘストン・ブルーメンタソールやジェイミー・オリバーの顔を眺めていたのでした。

Wild Tales | 人生スイッチ

This is an Argentinian black comedy film consisting of six short stories. I really couldn't tell how each story would end and how far the story would go. It wasn't a lough out loud comedy, but I enjoyed being stunned. My favourite story was the fourth one in which the main character was suffering from social corruption and fought back in an unexpected way. The producer of the film is Pedro Armodovar. The very melodramatic music is his influence perhaps? 

6つのショート・ストーリーで構成されたアルゼンチン発のブラック・コメディ映画。

どのストーリーも読めないオチに辿り着くまでの突き抜けっぷりというか、はじけっぷりというか、が半端ない！

お腹抱えてゲラゲラ笑う、というよりも、若干引きながらハハハと乾いた笑い声をあげる、という感じでありました。

個人的には社会システムの不条理に立ち向かう4番目のストーリーがお気に入り。

製作はスペインの巨匠ペドロ・アルモドバル。

メロドラマちっくな音楽は彼の影響かも？

Ninagawa Company | NINAGAWA祭

I saw the two Ninagawa Company plays at the Barbican Theatre.

バービカン劇場にて蜷川幸雄氏演出のお芝居が2本上演されました。

忘れないうちに、感想をば。

Hamlet | ハムレット

Set in a slum quarter in late 19th century Japan (it was when Shakespeare was first introduced to Japan), Hamlet was played by young yet experienced FUJIWARA Tatsuya. This was my first Hamlet and I have to say, how indecisive he is! Whilst he distresses himself endlessly, things get increasingly worse and almost everybody dies in the end...The direction emphasized Japanese culture. We saw Kabuki for the play within a play. I was impressed how fit HIRA Mikijiro is (he is 81 years old!)

日本に初めてシェークスピアが紹介された19世紀末の貧乏長屋を舞台に、藤原竜也が悩める青年ハムレットを演じておりました。

初『ハムレット』だったのですが、主人公ハムレットの決断力のなさときたら！

うじうじ悩んでる間に事態は悪化の一途をたどって主要人物がほぼ全員死亡するという。。

演出は日本らしさを前面に押し出していて、劇中劇は歌舞伎風でした。

クローディアスを演じた平幹次朗の健在ぶりに感服いたしました。

Kafka on the Shore | 海辺のカフカ

As a big fan of Murakami, I was both curious and anxious about a dramatization of Kafka on the Shore. Curious about how they can tell this complicated story, which involves different times and places, on the stage. Anxious about the possibility that this fantastic book might be ruined. It turned out that I didn't have to worry at all. They recreated Murakami world on the stage successfully! The casting was spot on, especially Nakata played by KIBA Katsumi and Sakura played by Suzuki Anne who were both exactly how I imagined when I read the book.

The stage design was very clever to show different scenes seamlessly. The stage assistants did a really good job.

I was moved by the  emotions delivered by subtle acting by MIYAZAWA Rie and adored her beauty.

Only criticism is that Nakata passed away rather too quickly. Maybe I felt that way because he is my favourite character.

I'd love to see this play again and again!

村上ファンとして、この『海辺のカフカ』の舞台化は好奇心半分、不安半分でした。

時代や場所が入り組んだこの物語をどう芝居で表現するのかという好奇心と、まったく別物になってしまうのではないかという不安と。

で、わたしの不安はまったくの杞憂でした。

舞台上に村上ワールドが見事に再現されておりました！

キャスティングが素晴らしくて、特に木場勝己の「中田さん」と鈴木杏の「さくら」は、本を読んで想像していたとおりでした。 

複雑なストーリーを見せつつテンポよく場面転換する演出が冴えてましたねー。

カーテンコールで黒子さんたちに惜しみない拍手を送ったの、初めてかも。

そして宮沢りえの美しさと繊細な感情表現よ！

難を言うなら、中田さんの最後が少々あっさりしてたかなぁ。

でもこれは、わたしが「中田さん」という登場人物に思い入れがあるから、そう思ったのかも。

とまれ、再演があるならまた観たいわー、これは。
